The Goonion roam

With the recent massive Goon move op pulling their forces from Delve to Tenerifis, we decided to seize the opportunity and shift our roam towards the region in search of some action. And we struck gold! In a high-octane night filled with chases and explosions, our Raptor fleet tore through enemy lines, racking up an impressive 78 kills and leaving 14.3 billion ISK worth of wreckage in our wake. Welcome to the neighborhood! Don't mind the mess...

Never underestimate the power of a good bump

There's just something special about calling capital targets in a fleet of interceptors. As scouts spotted a Thanatos tethered on a structure, something urged us to try the good ol' bump manoeuvre! One small boop after the other, and our target was slowly reaching the end of tether only to finally break the safety of his structure and be attacked. It didn't take long for the cavalry to arrive, but to their displeasure, our glorious dictors made a fantastic job of placing tactical bubbles around the grid so the untimely saviours could only look from afar as their friend helplessly blew up...

A lesson in salt mining

End of the year is usually the time to undock something silly and see how truly bad can things go. This year, in true meme fashion, we formed a mining fleet with ore holds empty and ready for some salt! To demonstrate how good at mining our usually PVP oriented pilots can be, we found ourselves a Vargur willing to accept the demonstration.

Death by a thousand papercuts

Another Friday, another wedge fleet, another set of ridiculous fits roaming lowsec warzones. This time, our hero tackle grabbed us a Khizriel that very quickly found out having an overview filled with drones may prove challenging in noticing you are actually being tackled!

Of Bantams and bribes

This week in lowsec, the Wedge Fleet embarked on their latest caper: a squadron of meme-fitted Bantams, bravely sailing the warzone. As the day drew to a close, talk on comms inevitably turned to the impending meme mining fleet – a prospect both ludicrous and exhilarating. Just then, a call rang out on comms - an unsuspecting Orca, calmly basking in the tranquility of a local asteroid belt. Like a troupe of determined jesters, the Bantams swooped in, expertly corralling the mighty mining vessel, and with a comical flourish, dispatched it to the celestial scrapheap. The Orca's baffled owner, perhaps underestimating the power of laughter, attempted a bewildering bribe, only to be met with a chorus of incredulous guffaws from the victorious Bantam brigade.

Curiosity killed a Raz

Raz, the intrepid pilot with a penchant for daring stunts, couldn't resist the allure of the Sansha Haven. With a mischievous grin, he eased his sleek 1 billion ISK Ishtar into the ominous cluster of rocks, eager to "check out" the dreaded dread. As the monstrous ship loomed into view, Raz's bravado waned. Suddenly, it felt less like a reconnaissance mission and more like an interstellar staring contest. Just as he was about to make a hasty retreat, the dread, unimpressed by his audacity, unleashed a devastating salvo. Raz's screen flickered, displaying an all-too-familiar message: "Capsule ejected." It seemed even ISK couldn't buy a sense of self-preservation.

First Zarzakh loss

This week our Wedge fleet of battle-hardened pilots embarked on a lowsec roam through Heimatar FW zones. After 32 successful kills, we decided to go for a final whelp into Zarzakh. Upon arrival, the fleet of Thrashers was greeted by a Drekavac / Augoror Navy duo. In a battle to Valhalla, the Wedge fleet fought valiantly, leaving a trail of wreckage that would forever witness our first loss in the new system.

NPSI rocks

It has been a little over two years since EX-SA joined The Ancients, one of the largest NPSI alliances in the game. Since then, we have been promoting the "purple" mindset of shooting first and asking questions later. As more and more groups have joined the cause, keacte, Major, and Skipp took it upon themselves to completely overhaul the NPSI calendar. They have now published a brand new go-to resource for everything related to the purple community. The new NPSI hub was launched during our signature Raptor fleet that managed to destroy a whooping 27bil ISK during the roam. The crowning jewel of the fleet was a lone Phoenix Navy Issue that we introduced to all of our purple friends...

Angry penguin noises

Every respectable nullsec alliance needs to have a logo. Something to reflect what they stand for and how they operate. Inspired by the endearing hisec version, our desire was to create a fierce and dangerous nullsec emblem. However, it seems our adorable penguin didn't receive the memo that jetpacks don't shoot lasers. Nevertheless, its clueless expression mirrors our own, reminding us that we're all navigating uncharted territory together, driven by a shared pursuit of triumph and unity.

EVE Rookies corvette FFA celebration

We joined our friends in EVE Rookies to celebrate their 2nd birthday in a proper meme style! The tournament was restricted to corvettes only, with two fleets launching into different parts of nullsec in an attempt to locate each other, earning points for survival and potential kills along the way. While Kshal's fleet struggled to find targets, Sierra's fleet came across a bewildered Drekavac pilot who was swiftly dispatched by the mighty corvettes. After evading multiple gatecamps, both fleets engaged in a free-for-all brawl, with over a billion ISK in prizes on the line making sure the celebration ends up in lots of explosions!

Shooting our way through the AT XVIII Trials

Our alliance entered the AT this year as well! The Ancients met up with Rusty Hyenas Clan in the first fight of the day where our fleet wasn't able to burn through the enemy team with a Zarmazd as their logi backbone even though the fight started fairly evenly. The second fight against No Visual was a different story. Both teams warped in at 0 with their battleships sitting on top of one another. The combination of good target calling on our end, and exploiting the fact the enemy team made a mistake of focusing our battleship under reps instead of the heavy damage dealing Oracles pushed us into the 2nd round of the tournament!

It was a pilot known for flying bling which got tackled completely by accident as our scout warped into a plex at range. You've probably heard myths about people falling for a random fleet invite from neutrals in local, right? You also never believed such a thing can work! Well, this time it sure did! As our scout jumped the system and saw an orca on d-scan, he instantly invited the poor sob into the fleet and warped him 0 at the sun. Another Thursday, another Raptor roam... This time the fleet found its way all the way into Delve. It was Aria's long-time wish to get some kills in the very heart of Goonswarm space and this night surely delivered. After sniping 11 ships in 1DQ, the locals finally formed up and decided to show what Goons can do. In true nullsec fashion, outgates got instantly bubbled and 7 titans dropped on grid.

The fleet successfully noped the hell out and managed to burn through the gate. A game of cat'n'mouse followed with a cormorant fleet chasing the fleet around. Waiting for combat timers to run out, the corm fleet finally caught up and landed on grid at the same time the FC yeeted the fleet via a filament...

Yet here we are, a year and a half later with our carebear sitting as the 2nd all-time Scalpel pilot! Master baiters

With the upcoming massive changes to mining ships, we decided to join our friends from [NOM3D] in the last fairwell bait Procurer fleet before they get nerfed. The fleet tried finding rocks in Tama, but instead, a curious Omen navy payed us a visit. After a short roam through the battlezone without any content, we yeeted ourselves straight into Horde's staging! The bait was on, and before hordlings realized it, two ratting Vexors got mined. This peaked the interest of their response fleet which finally joined our mining ops for a glorious brawl that sent us straight to Valhalla (but not before we mineds a few extra pilots).

1v1 at the Sunesis

Our 7th surprise tournament took us back to flying a Sunesis! Building on our previous rules of engagement, this time participants had to duel inside the Abyss both times swapping between Firestorm and Gamma filaments. This required squeezing two fit types into the already tiny limit of 10mil ISK for the fitting. Shiry got clapped by Mick (who was also his first ever solo kill!). Meanwhile, Rynn won her duel against Ase while Eowyn held her truce until the last room against Skipp

After the mini-game round to decide who the finalists were, Rynn faced justice after trying to backstab Skipp in the finals. Even though the tournament was over at this point, Mick decided to challenge Skipp for the first place once again, but unfortunately ended blown up instead confirming Skipp's rightful tournament winnings.

Waffle fodder since AT XVII

Another major milestone was accomplished with the fight against Waffles in this year's Alliance Tournament. After a few training sessions, a lot of alliance members got to know each other a bit better and bond over what we love the most - ships exploding in space! On the other side of the arena, Waffles pilots awaited, and even though the match started pretty equally, thanks to some fantastic baity piloting from their logibro, we managed to get screened and inevitably lose the match.

HUGE thanks to Ancients leadership for making this happen and GF to Waffle pilots! We'll be looking forward to more tournaments in the upcoming years! Bringing down the storm

You don't see EDENCOM ships flying around every day - especially not in nullsec. They're tanky as hell but their weapons are very niche making them not really desirable in PVP unless you have a whole fleet of them. And being expensive as they are - they simply don't get fielded that often. Unless you bump into one by pure accident and in the middle of a 90% drop-chance event! This "Brave" capsuleer tried his best but in the end, once again, Raptors won the fight. Stay classy Marroc o7

I would walk 10000 miles...

It was just last month when we hit 9000 kills and here were are again looking at an even bigger milestone of 10k total kills! And boy did the kill not disappoint! We yeeted from Jita in a smallgang fleet of assault frigates and after a few kills and jumps we ended up in Vale of the Silent, 4-HWWF to be exact. As the fleet was holding on a ping above the outgate, various Frat pilots were sitting on their Keepstar among which a cyno. As the fleet jokingly debated about killing it on a manned Keepstar, Skipp innocently mentioned that EX-SA is only a single kill away from 10k and before he knew it - the fleet was in warp onto the cyno.

Just as the warpdrive engaged, a Titan cynod in and docked. As the fleet landed and started shooting the cyno pilot, PDS hit the grid followed by a massive bright zappy doomsday flash! Our comms were filled with laughter, panic pressing of the ADC module and ships blowing up all over the place - the cyno pilot was destroyed giving us the best way of reaching 10k kills - the shenanigans way!

This is our bash now!

We've seen our share of weird fleet starts but this one might've just taken the cake! Minutes after formup while flying towards the close by Thera entrance, our fleet jumped into lowsec right next to three Leshaks bashing an Astrahus. After making quick work of them, we noticed the Astra was down to only a couple percent hull with the core installed - an opportunity like this was unlikely to be passed...

Well, that escalated quickly...

Our regular Raptor roam was literally just starting as the fleet was moving to a nearby lowsec system to jump into a wormhole. As the fleet approached the outgate, scouts called out for a ratting Archon while bravely tackling the Carrier. As the rabid frigate fleet arrived on grid and started crunching through the shields, two Revelations landed and started shooting the poor ratter as well. As much as we appreciated the help, the Revs were our next targets!

As we merely started breaking the Archon, a cyno lit up bringing in another big fleet lead by nothing less than a Zirnitra! In the pure chaos that followed with everyone shooting everyone - the Raptor fleet managed to score three juicy kills with only a single Raptor loss. GF you unlucky crab... GF...

No one expects the wedgening Bantams

If any of our fleets can be classified as a meme fleet - it's the Friday Wedge. This time our FC decided to ditch the usual Thrasher composition in favour of combat Bantams! We never expected to kill much in logi frigates but once again the Loot Fairy had other plans.

The first on our kill-of-shame was this blingy Gila, followed by a Rapier, then this unnecessary blingy Occator, right next to a Procurer, one Ishtar for good measure, then one extremely salty Phantasm to sweeten up the flavouring, followed by an Orthrus (that was very confused I'm sure) just to finish it off with an Osprey Navy...

Mondays have been a regular day for a 'funday' fleet FCed by Chappers - loved by newbros and vets alike. Due to a new job position that will make his EVE time noticeably limited, he decided to yeet his Maelstrom into Tama with the biggest kitchen-sink in recent SiCo times. It didn't take long to escalate Tama shenanigans into a complete mess above the Nourvukaiken gate that we somehow managed to survive (mostly). The roam then continued into null where the fleet yoinked approximately 400mil in ESS bank loot after we finally escorted our FC back to safety of hisec.

EX-SA has been joining FUN INC fleets for two years now on a weekly basis and many of you feisty PVPers are familiar with who they are and what they do, so at this point it felt right to make our corp a part of their al iance strictly based on friendships we made and mutual content we keep running every single week.

During the month of March we had multiple competing categories corp members took part in worth close to a billion ISK! These covered PVP as well as PVE. Jair Angst grabbed awards in the PVE category winning both the top contributor as well as the most active PVE player, but it was the PVP award that was ending in a photo-finish!

Didn't want that Thanatos anyway

Our usual Saturday Raptor roam took a detour through LS after we got reports of a big brawl in progress. As we reached the system, the fight was already over which was apparently good enough for a Thanatos pilot to undock and start a lv5 mission. A questionable decision followed by a very predictable outcome.

Not long after, back on our usual route, we stumbled upon yet another Thanny pilot ratting. This one was (un)fortunate to have 100 people in local who just chose to ignore his cries for help so he decided the best course of action would be to self-destruct. GF?

An "experiment", as Barrote put it - a blingy Nergal flying through hisec scanning MTUs in hope of the oldest bait pattern in EVE history: get someone to aggress you then blapp them back since mission & anomaly runners never fit for PVP. Only this time, our baiting hero stumbled upon a fully prepared neuting Gnosis against which a poor frigate didn't stand a chance. However, Barrote didn't wait for long to get ISK positive! As it usually happens, someone crashes the site baiting people into engagement. With two Drekavacs, a PVP blaster Brutix on grid and a Curse one jump out - taking the engagement against a single Praxis was an easy call to make.

Wedge fleets are a well-established doctrine in the coalition that grew to be one of the favourite LowSec fleets for all kinds of shenanigans! This time, we moved from Amarr space into Tama for a night of gate camping. The usual blapping was interrupted by a lost Thanatos that decided to warp onto the station but not tether. The fleet swapped into beefier ships and made quick work of the carrier. Just moments later a Revelation followed but ended up blown up just the same.

As the fleet was crunching through last percentages of the Rev's hull, another Revelation warped on grid to everyone's disbelief. As it dropped down to 20% armor, a bright flash lit up next to it cynoing in a full fleet of capitals. After a few mishaps with the Abyssal boundaries, some fantastic timings and trolly fits, Vant Neth reached 3rd place while Garen Willow made it to the finals where he lost to Barrote Pax. The full tournament info and contestant progression can be found here.

Baited on a free Velator

On his usual trip from Jita, Skipp needed a random ship to hop over a few jumps so he boarded his speedy Pacifier for a quick way back. One jump out he noticed a flashy Velator slowboating to the gate and decided to blapp the squishy corvette. Upon engaging, the first alarm went off as he noticed the Pacifier only had Auroras and no close-range ammo. The second alarm went off when he noticed there was just a single gun... The third alarm went off as Skipp noticed that's not his usual Pacifier but rather a fit with missing slots! But hey - It's just a Velator right? What could possibly go wrong? One scram, web, a couple of drones and a pair of blasters to the face later...

Outsmarting the tournament

Our fourth surprise tournament had a few extra rules and limitations. By now, everyone already half-expected Rynn to be a smartass (as she usually is) - but no one could even imagine her undocking a no-prop smartbombing Magnate! Her tactics were extremely simple and deadly. Sit still, rep up and simply 2-shot enemy drones. With literally all of the opponent DPS eliminated, her grinning face laughed at the slow death her tiny T1 drones inflicted upon the helpless ships on the receiving end.

Elial even had some solid counters in form of webs and missiles but forgot to utilize them properly during the fight which got him the 3rd place while Aria, although his neuting looked promising, didn't manage to keep his drones alive long enough to do any significant damage - making him take 2nd place.

Being in the wrong place at the perfect time...

Rynn participated in an unprecedented amount of PvP fleets this week. A whooping two! And since EVE usually has an interesting sense of humor, this got our carebear to share the 2nd place on the alliance killboards for the week. To push that final kill, Skipp quickly found a lone MTU only to hit an unscannable signature at around 90%. A flashy "Magpie" was just sitting there with no way of fully scanning it without reshipping into a dedicated scanning ship... Just as they both were about to quit, one final scan finished to reveal the owner landing in a Noctis! The pair quickly warped on top of the unlucky pilot and rid him of a very blingy asset. Rynn got her +1

From Spectre with love...

Altiair joined us recently by leaving nullsec but his pewpew habits weren't left behind. After he got approved to FC Spectre Fleet, his first run took him into FW space around the Bleak Lands. A handful of Jackdaws spotted a small mining fleet that was actually paying attention to their surroundings and instantly warped into the safe hug of a local freeport. Unfortunately for the Orca pilot, he kept his boosts up and wasn't able to tether which gave the hunting fleet more than enough time to land tackle and make quick work of his 1bil ISK ship. ISK positive?

Redefining mining one cyno at a time

By now it's obvious people around here tend to do silly stuff and not take everything seriously... So this evening, a fleet of battleventures formed and jumped straight into nullsec for some proper mining. The roam took the fleet into RF-X7V where a Falcon, Gnosis, Kikimora and an Arazu were sitting on top of a Keepstar. As the fleet started "mining" the Falcon, other ships decided they didn't like the tether mechanic and engaged the battleventures one after the other, patiently waiting for their turn to get blapped. OP success!

A sunny coalition tournament

The winner of our last PvP tournament didn't wait long to host the next one in the series! [EX-SA] surprise tournament got enriched by various other rules and with more people joining, fun and shenanigans began! Aria's ship of choice was the Sunesis while the prize pool consisted of Guristas ships and apparel. After moving through the initial two knockout rounds, Rynn Malukker grabbed the 3rd place by blowing up Numa Unu with her extremely kitey fit, while Skipp Doe's trolly triple-rep Sunesis won the finals against Barotte Pax who took 2nd place.

Not all stories have a happy ending...

Our friends living in J204030 are no strangers to eviction attempts, so this new one has been just another on the list of attackers needed to be repelled. However, this time, attackers were none other than Hard Knocks. With a formidable opponent, once again, a large fleet of around 150 pilots formed to defend the Fortizar which led to success. Seeing how heavily outnumbered they were, the attackers stood down and fell back to the safety of their own anchored Raitaru.

Unfortunately, due to time zone differences, the defence fleet diminished in numbers over the course of the next few days while HK kept hole control. Without adequate forces to defend the final timer, the Alamo fell and along with it, one small corp home was destroyed. With the amount of people gathered over this structure regardless of politics and ingame alliances, we're pretty sure [ZWEI] will rebuild bigger and better. So, keep your chin up, [EX-SA] will always be at your side o7

The second [EX-SA] PvP tournament

To follow up on our first meme tournament, this one pitched together contestants in vicious corvettes! Some really interesting fits were made but only one lived through multiple fights! Aria's experience in PvP engagements won the tournament finals against EX-SA's biggest carebear Rynn Malukker, while Eowyn Serenity reached 3rd place by taking our last year champion Noys Lambent in an extremely tight fight where her active tanked Velator managed to hold the incoming damage of the opponent's rustbucket.

First proving grounds run

With the newly added proving grounds, many capsuleers rushed to exchange ammo with one another... Our very own pilot Aria and pilot Noys were no exception. After a short debate on which ships to take, they both got into cheap Caracals and dived straight into their first victory winning the arena over a pair of Stabbers.

Carebear joins max TiDi

Rynn doesn't do PvP. In fact, she never leaves hisec! So last night when she requested an invite for a nullsec roam we all knew something will go down. The roam itself was mostly calm with scarce kills here and there until we stumbled blindly into L-A5XP with max TiDi slapping our faces at the same time. The grid loaded after Bob knows when revealing hundreds of capitals, over 600 HACs and 2300 in local! While our Raptor fleet tried to snatch smaller stuff close by, Rynn, the "pro"-PvPer, wanted to get onto nothing less than an Archon... A prime example of the elegant art of killmail whoring :)

You Mastodon't do this...

It all started as your regular night of mindless NPSI roaming through the usual lowsec systems around Black Rise... After a few smaller kills someone called to attention a few Mastodons jumping right on the next gate to where the fleet of hungry assault frigates was waiting for scout intel. With a juicy target in sight, the fleet jumps and lands tackle on the closest Mastodon. After the initial surprise of the killmail itself, another one followed after seeing the actual loot dropped... Sorry Latetia...

The Silent Company

After our latest endeavour in helping the defence of the J134716 wormhole, Explorers' Sanctum got an invitation to join the Silent Coalition. Seeing how they share the exact same mindset as we do - it was only logical to give our own members access to more activities and players of the same type. Here's to many years of successful shenanigans. The full PSA can be found here

A friend of a friend is a friend of ours

Together with our wormhole friends from [ZWEI], we answered a call for help to aid in the defence of a C4 class wormhole of another friendly bunch of wormhollers. Multiple defence timers were spread during the day making this a long and an exhausting play of hole-control and crippling the invaders in any imaginable way. If done right - wormhole control may end up being a very boring activity but it ensures you not getting evicted. In the end, the wormhole was successfully defended and even cleaned from the invading structures - both the Astrahus and a POS. Even though we ended up without a major brawl, some juicy kills were made.

When you go for the pod but Triglavians ruin the fun

After a successful null-sec brawl, Skipp returns to the staging hisec system only to find his friend Jebi sitting on a citadel all flashy and inviting. So as any good fellow would do - he opens fire only to be party-pooped by a roaming Triglavian fleet. In a matter of a second, Maller's shields go down and they start crunching away the armor forcing him to warp off. Sadness occurs...

All the milestones!

One of our newbros displayed perfect signs of efficiency by ticking multiple milestone goals all at once! On his first fleet, during his first PvP roam Viper managed to snipe down his first kill and finally end the night by not warping off the gate on time and getting killed by gate guns!

Jita wasn't built in a day

When you become an EVE veteran, you play big, you aim high, you shake off the losses... And it's all thanks to passive incomes that make great players stay afloat. Bort finally became one of such capsuleers by dropping a structure and setting up taxes that are bringing him enough ISK to last a lifetime! Better put those 2 ISK to good use...

When the loot fairy says YES!

Our latest coalition corp has made some really nice kills recently but this one takes the cake! It was almost midnight when a lone Kronos jumped from hi-sec into Mara for Bob knows what reason. As one may have guessed - without any hesitation tackles are landing, webs are flying and the poor Kronos is dying. We all know no one can hear you scream in space... but the echoing rumble coming from the killmail might say otherwise...

Everyone tells you not to... and then there's Rynn

Autopiloting... you know, the one thing everyone agrees NOT to do. Well, Rynn gives no fucks! Ever since she found out she can get a fast frigate with a tiny sig radius up to 20k+ EHP she's been "playing" the game by autopiloting everywhere. If you see her yellow taxi near a gate feel free to engage. A few have tried and failed. [EX-SA] leadership will reward anyone who actually manages to finally blow that banana-frig up and wipe the grin off her face in the process...

The great wormhole brawl

Remember that Insmother venture from 2018? Funny how things work out in EVE... Turns out that the same Nullsec corp some of [EX-SA] members were in back then wardecced one of the Coalition members and were trying to destroy citadels in their home wormhole. With over 130 pilots on grid, this brawl is one of the biggest defence fleet the Coalition has been in to this date - and it was glorious! After long preparations, a huge attacking fleet, mostly made of Triglavian vessels, was repelled by the defence forces. There was no salt involved even after heavy losses and all parties involved were extremely pleased with the provided content...

Cleaning up space litter

It was a chillout evening of running Triglavian invasion sites. Lots of people running through the system and the local conduits... One specific Nestor pilot kept warping in and out trying to either salvage wrecks that did not belong to him or ninjaloot stuff close by. After a few hours the [EX-SA] fleet warps into an already started conduit that had a lone MTU just sitting there - The Nestor pilot sitting next to it.
