Trigger-happy hi-sec cuddlebears!

It's been one hell of a year!

While real-life is plagued by a world-wide pandemic, we somehow managed to not only hold on to our group, but even make it bigger and better than ever before! This year started as a brand new chapter in EX-SA's history with a solid core group of players in a small hi-sec corporation that just found its place and identity...

Our main goal was (and still is) to keep the corp small and friendly while having zero overhead and limits to our members, but, at the same time, try and nudge people into a PVP mindset where losing ships is not a bad thing! Mainly, we did this by making friends in various NPSI groups that provide fun content for anyone regardless of their ingame origin or alliance! As we made more "external" friends, we got more and more engaged in various content that finally lead us into a wormhole defence fleet which resulted in EX-SA joining the Silent Company - the largest alliance ingame as of this writing.

Bolstered by a myriad of alliance/coallition activities and a few newcomers to the corporation - EX-SA's members have been proudly ranking through the alliance killboards ever since!

So, without further ado - let's jump straight into the stats for 2020!

Favourite ships

1. Raptor
Common doctrine: Shrinkwrapped
Whelp count: 977
Extremely nimble, fast and agile while still dealing quite a punch - these combat interceptors shined this year in numerous null-sec roams. While this doctrine has been made popular by FUN Inc, it usually gets underestimated which opens up opportunities to some really blingy kills, but most importantly - extreme amounts of fun in a death by a thousand paper-cuts!
Raptor
2. Thrasher
Common doctrine: Wedge
Whelp count: 813
These dirt cheap T1 destroyers are a backbone of the Coalition Wedgefleet! Regardless of whether they're used for roaming or gate camping, the high alpha-damage of Thrashers makes them a perfect tool for loads of kills while making them extremely easy to replace...
Thrasher
3. Retribution
Common doctrine: Armor surprise / Hornets
Whelp count: 478
Apart from the sleek-golden looks, Retris come with a benifit of assault-frigate traits making them extremely tough for a frigate class ship. Depending on the fleet setup, you will mostly find us flying these around lowsec (where their tankyness shines in mitigating gate-guns) or nullsec alongside Confessors and support for some fast-moving high-punching action!
Retribution
4. Merlin
Common doctrine: MQP
Whelp count: 294
Newbro approved ship of choice! The fast-tackle fit used in coalition training roams serves as a great starting point for learning how to PVP. With solid tank and DPS, Merlins make a fantastic starting point for any PVP enthusiast in the making...
Merlin
5. Hecate
Common doctrine: Brawly facemelter
Whelp count: 189
T3 destroyers are awesome - period. And when it comes to PVP, you simply can't beat the raw DPS output of a brawly overheated Hecate. These slim ships are perfectly suited for all kinds of shenanigans! Anything from solo hunting targets a lot bigger than yourself to clearing space of those pesky abandoned MTUs...

We've been up to random shenanigans throughout the year, and listing them all here would make this single page even longer to scroll! Luckily, it's become a habbit for us to post small snippets of activities worth noting on our timeline so we can always go back and have a reminder of what we did.

Be it something worthy like a major milestone or something completely stupid to make fun of for years to come - our timeline serves as a testament of all things EX-SA related.
