What is Wedge Fleet?
Wedge Fleet is our weekly Friday night lowsec PVP fleet. No skill requirements, no ship costs, no drama. We hand out ships on form-up and go looking for fights.
It's NPSI - meaning everyone in New Eden who isn't in our fleet is a valid target. We roam lowsec in tight frigate and destroyer formations, punching above our weight class and making memories out of killmails.
Whether you've never fired a gun in EVE or you've been playing for a decade, Wedge Fleet is the same deal for everyone: show up, get a ship, go blow things up (including ourselves). Then repeat!
Ship lineup
All ships are provided for free at form-up. No ISK required - just show up.
Punisher
Tanky little brawler designed to punch up. Notoriously hard to kill for its size. The anvil of the fleet.
Merlin
Shield-tanked hybrid platform. Excellent close-range application while still being decently tanky.
Kestrel
Four launcher frigate that peppers targets from range with missiles. Easy to fit, forgiving to fly.
Atron
Fast tackle and skirmisher. Gets in close, applies various e-war making sure nothing escapes the fleet.
Slasher
Speedy frigate that excels at catching and holding targets. A slippery tackle that can also put out decent DPS.
Algos
Drone destroyer that applies damage hands-free while the pilot focuses on staying alive and on target.
Talwar
Long-range missile destroyer that blankets the field with light missiles. Excellent for kiting fleets and picking off tackle.
Thrasher
Alpha-strike destroyer with seven turrets. Vaporises frigates in a single volley. Sometimes used for gatecamps.
The exact doctrine can change week to week depending on where we're roaming. The FC will announce the ship type in the fleet MOTD. All fits are pre-assembled and waiting for you. Just check the cargo for any rigs or additional e-war modules your FC may ask you to refit into.
Blingy loot → the Wedge Fund
Any valuable drops (like faction modules or abyssals) go to the FC and straight back into the fleet budget. That's how we keep the ships free and the doctrine stocked week after week.
Everything else is yours
Regular loot, T1/T2 modules, and whatever else drops from your kills is free for any fleet member to scoop. First come, first served - no rules, no splitting, just grab it and hope you live long enough to stash it.
How it works
Three steps stand between you and your first killmail. No spreadsheets required.
Join the fleet
Open fleet finder in-game and search for "Wedge Fleet" on Friday evenings. Join up and warp to the staging system listed in the fleet MOTD. No application or auth required.
Grab your ship
Ships are pre-fitted and handed out to you in the form-up station. Take one, board it, set your safety to yellow. That's it!
Go and shoot things
Fleet up, anchor up on the FC, and follow calls. If you die - great, grab another ship. We're not counting losses, we're counting good fights.
What to expect
- Expect to die. A lot. That's the point.
- Expect the FC to explain every move - no experience assumed.
- Expect gate camps, frantic gate-slides, and frequently punching way above our class.
- Expect to laugh about the losses as much as the wins & unexpected frags.
- Expect a relaxed voice comms atmosphere - no one is going to rage at you.
- Expect killmails. Lots of killmails!
